Fun and exciting nights at Hispanicize!
Miami.- ¿No fun, just work? Not at Hispanicize! The conference held a lot of evening activities to chill, mingle and relax.
The “Cesar Chavez” red carpet premiere kickstarted my evening activities. The event took place at Regal Cinemas situated on the famous Lincoln Street in Miami Beach. Among the special guests were Cesar Chavez’ granddaughters, Julie Chavez-Rodriguez, White House Office of Public Engagement and Christine Chavez, Farmworker Coordinator U.S. Department of Agriculture.
Chatting with Argentinean TV personality Javier Ceriani.
Directed by Diego Luna, starring Michael Peña, America Ferrera and Rosario Dawson the film was definitely an inspirational depiction of the legendary civil rights leader whose legacy lives on today.
“I’m Lovin’ It!”
One of my favorite nigh-time events was the “I’m Lovin’ It” Voyage aboard the fabulous McDonald’s yacht! What better way to end the day than with a magnificent view of the Miami skyline as we cruised across Biscayne Bay and partied like only Miami knows how to?
With late night show host Felipe Viel.
Sponsored by 3M the Hispanicize Positive Impact Awards gala brought everyone together to celebrate and recognize the Latinos who have dedicated their time to the betterment of communities across the nation. The red carpet buzzed with excitement as always and I had the pleasure of catching up with Felipe Viel who shared how he feels about being a new late night talk show host, and the magical chemistry between him and Charytin.
Another of my favorite moments of the night was meeting Myrka Dellanos who looked fabulous after her recent weight loss and continues to succeed in her role as host and contributor to Estrella TV in Los Angeles.
It was so hard to say goodbye to Miami and all the awesome colleagues I reunited with at Hispanicize. See you next year!
Noches para recordar en Hispanicize
Miami.- No todo fue trabajo en Hispanicize. La conferencia también incluyó divertidos eventos nocturnos para relajarse y socializar.
La alfombra roja de la premiere de “César Chávez” fue la primera de mis actividades al esconderse el sol. Fue súper emocionante llegar a los Regal Cinemas en la famosa Lincoln Street de Miami Beach y ver entre los invitados especiales a las nietas de César Chávez: Julie Chavez-Rodriguez, Subdirectora de Participación Pública de la Casa Blanca, y Christine Chavez, Coordinadora de Trabajadores Agrícolas del Departamento de Agricultura de Estados Unidos.
Con el cantante Fabián Hernández.
Dirigida por Diego Luna y protagonizada por Michael Peña, America Ferrera y Rosario Dawson, la cinta es un retrato fiel e inspiracional del legendario líder hispano, cuyo legado sigue vivo hasta el día de hoy.

Otra de mis noches favoritas fue el “I’m Lovin’ It” Voyage a bordo del yate de McDonald’s. ¿Qué mejor manera de terminar un largo día que disfrutando de la magnífica vista de Miami navegando sobre la Bahía Biscayne Bay y divirtiéndonos como sólo los miamenses saben hacerlo?

La alfombra roja estuvo llena de buen vibra, y tuve el placer de platicar con Felipe Viel, quien me contó cómo se siente como anfitrión del late night show “Esta noche tu night”, y la innegable química que siempre ha tenido con Charytin.
Otro de mis momentos favoritos fue conocer a Myrka Dellanos, quien continúa cosechando éxitos, ahora como conductora de su programa vespertino en Estrella TV.
Fue muy difícil despedirme de Miami y de todos los colegas con quienes me reencontré en Hispanicize 2014. ¡Hasta el próximo año!
