MIAMI, FL – April 30, 2018 – (HISPANICIZE WIRE) – Hispanicize 2018 Event announced the winners of the 4th Annual Hispanicize Tecla Awards, the most prestigious national honor highlighting the achievements of top Latinx and multicultural content creators.

The winners of the 4th Annual Tecla Awards, presented by Prudential, were determined by The Hispanicize Tecla Awards Gold Academy, a panel of judges consisting of marketing, PR and social media executives, creators, and other experts in the digital media industry. Winners were revealed during the Hispanicize Tecla Awards ceremony, which took place at the JW Marriott Marquis Miami April 20th and marks the closing event for Hispanicize 2018.

“This year the Teclas received more than 4,500 nominations, 30 million social media impressions, nearly five times more than the inaugural 2015 competition, and represents a fantastic line-up of talented Latinx and multicultural content creators,” said Katherine Johnson-Gunn, Partner of Hispanicize Media Group and Executive Producer of the Tecla Awards.

The 2018 Tecla Awards show has received rave reviews by attendees, sponsors and media calling it one of the best Tecla Awards to date, full of comedic talent, entertainment and touching moments. The host of the Tecla Awards was content creator, actor and social media sensation Jenny Lorenzo who also played her character “La Cuban Abuela” as they took turns hosting the awards. The Creator of the Year award went to super influencer, actor and comedian Marko Musica who obtained an outstanding 102,230 number of votes. The night continued with special appearances by singer/songwriter Diana Fuentes, Enrique Santos, Las Chonga Girls, Jackie Cruz, and many other personalities who took to the stage to present nominees or win awards.
