BURBANK, CA - November 13, 2018 – (HISPANICIZE WIRE) - EstrellaTV, the only Spanish-language broadcast network in the U.S. with ratings growth, announced today that for a second consecutive month, it ranks as the #3 Hispanic television network in all three main demographics, and was the only Spanish-language broadcaster in the U.S. that experienced growth among Adults 18-34, Adults 18-49, and Adults 25-54 demos during Prime Time*, during the month of October.

EstrellaTV tops Unimas for a second consecutive month as the #3 Spanish-language broadcaster in Prime Time*, consolidating its growth in the Hispanic television landscape in the U.S. among 18-54 year old adults.

EstrellaTV prides itself in counterprogramming its competitors by offering innovative, entertaining and relevant content to Hispanics living in the U.S. As the network approaches its 10th anniversary milestone, its growth is attributed to its mission of offering high quality productions that resonate with U.S. Latino audiences. Its ongoing success and impressive growth story in the Hispanic TV landscape is a testament to the power of its original content and expanding distribution presence across the United States.

According to Nielsen, in the month of October, EstrellaTV experienced a +56% increase in A18-34, +23% in A18-49, and +13% in A25-54 as compared to same period last year. In stark contrast, each of its competitors continued experiencing significant declines year over year with Univision down -19% among A18-34, -14% in A18-49, and -13% in A25-54; Telemundo -30% in A18-34, -26% in A18-49, and -23% in A25-54; UniMas -57% in A18-34, - 59% in A18-49, and -58% in A25-54.

“EstrellaTV’s impressive growth story is a clear indication that U.S. Hispanic audiences are seeking original content that breaks the paradigm of the old telenovela format and repurposed foreign programs that is traditionally seen on Spanish-language television networks. Hispanic audiences in the U.S. crave original programming that is produced in a manner that reflects their life and experience in the U.S.,” stated Lenard Liberman, CEO, LBI Media, parent company to EstrellaTV Network.
